hi, i’m sort of new to as3. So when I open the sample file and then I preview it, I get a white blank screen. What do I need to do to preview the fullscreen background video? Nothing shows. Thanks

Read the documentation, thats what its for.

The property you want is playAtStart = true;

Is it possible for the video to play straight away. In the demo the movie is paused and you have t click the play button. Thanks.
