really great tutorial, really helpfull.
I am trying to create a photography site that scales an image to fit the browser but stops scaling down in size when it reaches the size of the stage, ie it scales for the big browsers and stops scaling when it reaches the lowest sized browser my stage size. do you have any ideas?

regards

gavin

Dale Neighed:

Gavin,

Have a look in the ActionScript 2 Fullbrowser Slide show file here. It has a min stage setting, which you can use to do what you are trying to do.

Patrick Neighed:

Thanks for the Great Tutotrial.

Very easy to follow and helps a lot and looking forward to using this with my future projects.

I am using this and it works great thanks.

Now I am trying to use it as a portfolio gallery and would like to select the image from the xml manually from movieclip buttons.
is this possible from the code youve put together as I am a bit new to this.

If so any help would be great

Great tutorial.

I am using it for a website I am creating.

What if I wanted, for example, to fade in the green box or black bar when the swf loads? I want to be able to have simple fades as the site loads but also be able to position everything where I want it. I added a simple fade in to the green box and it wouldn’t even show up on the stage when I previewed it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

Never mind. Got the mini intros to work. I do have another question. I have separate swf with an XML loaded photo that I want to be full browser. I can get it to scale but not maintain the aspect ratio. I would like it to keep its aspect ratio if possible.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

hello, i have a problem with a site which has the background full flash.
I have a website, and in the background is an embedded flash which is resizing to fit fit the width and height of the window, and in the front, in the middle of the screen is a html content which has the dimensions at 1024×768, so will appear the scrollbar if the browser’s window is smaller than the html, but than the flash will not show up if is hidden and you have to scroll the content.
like an example, i have the browsers at 1024×500, will appear a scrollbar because the content is 1024×768, but when i drag the scroll to see the rest, the html part is ok and visible, but the flash background isn’t visible, i can see only the background color set in the embed tag. i set the “wmode” to “transparent” and to “opaque” but it didn’t work.
do you have any solution to this ?
thank you.
