Hi,
great educational script, thanks!
I have set it up twice on a page.
I have the standard gallery in one movie clip.
In another movie clip I have altered it so that I just have the thumbnails showing up in a vertical layout.

I want the thumbnails in the vertical clip to cause the regular one to load another gallery xml file.
Basically add that loadNew function to the vertical thumbs and have the xml gallery file to load listed in the xml file for the vertical thumbs.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Dale,

You have some really awesome work! I have a question if you have some time for it.. how would you get this thing to work in a self-contained movie clip that you can put anywhere on the stage? When I put it all in an mc, the text output box still shows the thumbs loading, but neither the thumbnails or the big photo actually shows up.

Thanks!!

I've been customising this gallery a little and (similar to Seth's post http://www.blog.noponies.com/archives/16#comment-762 ) I've added two extra columns to the thumbnails (now 4x3). It's almost working perfectly, but the thumbnails load in columns from left-to-right, instead of loading in rows from top-to-bottom. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Hi Dale

Thanks so much for sharing and answering questions! It is so kind of you.

Your coding helps me a lot and it works great. I am new to AS and I hope you don't mind I ask this question : How can I set to load the first large image when we first click the window? Currently it looks a bit empty on the page so I think if it could automatically load the first image that would be wonderful.

Thanks again!
